That the Parliament congratulates Elizabeth Park on being elected as the first female Provost of the Court of the Deacons of the Ancient and Royal Burgh of Linlithgow; notes that Elizabeth has served over 25 years on the Court, which was established in 1975 and is made up of elected volunteers and deacons from organisations in the town; acknowledges that the Court's prime function is to finance, organise and manage the Riding of the Marches, which dates back to the 13th century; recognises its important work in supporting the charitable work of the town, celebrating the heritage, spirit and sense of community of its people and its continuing dedication to the tradition of the annual event; acknowledges Elizabeth's hard work with the organisation, and wishes her a successful period as Provost.
