That the Parliament congratulates the team at The Globe Inn, of High Street, Dumfries, on being awarded Scotland’s Best Eating Experience at the recent national VisitScotland Thistle Awards; acknowledges that this award follows an accolade of awards from a team that includes Michelin experienced chefs in its 1610 Restaurant; notes that these awards highlight the hard work, passion and dedication of a team that is committed to sourcing the finest local ingredients to produce dishes that are, it understands, of culinary excellence; understands that head chef, Fraser Cameron, and head of cuisine, Jonathan Brett, are passionate about capturing and delivering the spirit of Scotland in their dishes in one of Scotland's oldest and most famous hostelries, which was notably Robert Burns's favourite; considers that The Globe Inn is recognised as a top tourism business within Dumfries and Galloway, and wishes all of the team the very best for the future.
