Dyce Primary School Awarded Gold School Sport Award

That the Parliament congratulates Dyce Primary School on winning a sportscotland Gold School Sport Award; notes that the awards are presented as part of a national initiative, funded by the National Lottery, which is designed to encourage schools to put young people at the heart of the decision making behind, and the planning and implementation of, extra-curricular school sport; understands that the award is presented in recognition of a school’s achievements in putting sport at the heart of its planning, practice and ethos, while highlighting that it has shown excellent practice across the core areas of the award by demonstrating an ongoing commitment to increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership and providing clear pathways to lifelong participation in sport; commends the hard work and commitment of all of the staff at Dyce Primary in enabling the school to receive what it sees as this prestigious award, and wishes all at the school well in continuing to develop the school sport offerings.
