North Edinburgh Community Festival Wins Creative Edinburgh Award

That the Parliament congratulates the organisers of North Edinburgh Community Festival on winning the Creative Edinburgh Festival Award, a new award that recognises an outstanding contribution to Edinburgh’s culture scene and community development; understands that North Edinburgh Community Festival is held annually in May in West Pilton Park and West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre, and that, in 2024, it included 600 young people participating in musical activities; notes that the most recent edition of the festival was attended by over 10,000 local people, with over 300 free hot meals provided, diverse performances and 150 charities and community organisations in attendance; commends North Edinburgh Community Festival for its work in fostering community pride and addressing socioeconomic challenges, and hopes for a successful future for North Edinburgh Community Festival.
