Neil Russell Wins Disability Sport Coach of the Year Award

That the Parliament congratulates Neil Russell on his success at the 2024 sportscotland Coaching, Officiating and Volunteering (COV) Awards; understands that Neil was awarded Disability Sport Coach of the Year in recognition of his impact on the adaptive cycling community; further understands that, through founding and coaching of the Adaptive Riders Collective (ARC), Neil has widened access to cycling and off-road cycling in particular; believes that he has lifted many significant barriers to participation, including the cost of adaptive equipment; understands that, by working tirelessly to provide access to adaptive bikes, Neil has facilitated many people to try off-road cycling for the first time; further understands that Neil is a committed advocate for access to the outdoors, and commends Neil for his dedication in pursuit of his vision.
