  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 14 November 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15433

That the Parliament extends its congratulations to poultry business, Duncan Farms, for securing a partnership with supermarket chain Sainsbury's; notes that Duncan's Eggs are now available at 29 of the supermarket's outlets in Scotland; understands that the deal aligns with Duncan Farm's ambitious growth strategy; further understands that the business is committed to free-range expansion and that the free-range hen feed consists primarily of cereals grown on farms in the north east of Scotland; understands that Duncan Farms prides itself on its sustainability credentials, with each free-range egg being traceable using an online egg tracker on its website, allowing customers to trace their egg back to the farm it came from, and wishes Duncan Farms all the best with its continued growth and sustainability projects.
