That the Parliament congratulates Banff Academy and Craigiebarns, Dyce, Insch, Woodlands, Ballumbie and Longhaugh primary schools on attaining the 2024-26 Gold School Sport Award, which is funded by the National Lottery; notes that this initiative is designed to encourage schools to put young people at the heart of decision making, planning and implementation of extra-curricular sport; further notes that the granting of the award indicates that these schools have shown excellent practice and an ongoing commitment to increasing young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership, as well as providing clear pathways to life-long participation in sport; recognises the effort of pupils and staff in attaining these awards in the post-COVID-19-pandemic period, and wishes each of the schools every success in the future.
