That the Parliament warmly congratulates Govan Youth Information Project (GYIP) on the 30th anniversary of its foundation; recognises that it has been in operation since 1994, and that, over the years, it has established itself in Govan as one of the area’s most experienced youth organisations; understands that it has the aim of delivering empowering and meaningful youth work to all children and young people within the Glasgow Govan area; acknowledges what it sees as the incredible impact that GYIP has had on the young people of Govan and beyond, and believes that, through its work, it has transformed thousands of young people’s lives over the years; thanks GYIP for its outstanding work providing support, information and advice to young people while empowering them to contribute to the development and regeneration of the local community; commends what it sees as the brilliant and inspirational staff team at GYIP, and wishes everyone at GYIP all the very best on this important milestone.
