That the Parliament welcomes the delivery of refurbished football boots to pupils at Northfield Academy; understands that a call for old football boots was shared at the end of last season, with a range of sizes being donated; further understands that the football boots were then sent to Cif to be cleaned and repaired as part of its Re-Kicks initiative, which aims to provide "free kicks" to budding young players, helping them to feel pitch-ready; notes that Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust received 50 pairs of boots from the initiative, which were sent out to partner schools, including Northfield Academy, where boots were delivered by the Aberdeen FC player, Angus MacDonald; notes that the Freeman of the City of Aberdeen, Denis Law, also benefitted from receiving a pair of second-hand football boots when he was a schoolboy in Aberdeen, before going on to a footballing career that saw him win the European Cup and the Ballon d'Or; hopes that this initiative can help develop more great football players; commends the efforts of all those involved, and wishes them the best of luck.
