That the Parliament acknowledges that Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is expanding its support network for families of children undergoing treatment; notes that the charity group will offer enhanced support and resources at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, thanks to substantial funding from Alison and Steve Timoney; acknowledges that the cash injection will allow Crossbasket House to provide onsite accommodation and wraparound support services, including emotional, financial and practical support; understands that many families with critically ill children travel from remote parts of Scotland, facing weeks or months of uncertainty in the hospital, and that Crossbasket House will be a lifeline for countless parents and caregivers in the years to come, and recognises that Crossbasket House provides free accommodation and, together with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, is now able to provide emotional, financial and practical support to parents and carers as and when they need it.
