Recognition of Kilbirnie’s Aaron Cullen Winning Silver at the Under 23 European Championships

That the Parliament congratulates 20-year-old Aaron Cullen from Kilbirnie on his outstanding achievement of winning a silver medal at the Under-23 European Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria; acknowledges his membership with the Irvine Elite Boxing Club and his representation of the GB Team; notes that the championship featured over 300 competitors from 35 nations, with Aaron being one of only eight Scots to participate, where he achieved the highest placing among them; commends his victories over Polish, Spanish and French opposition, leading to his final bout against Irishman, Patsy Joyce Thady; recognises the praise from Boxing Scotland performance director, Craig McEvoy, who described Aaron as "world class" throughout the tournament, and wishes Aaron continued success in his boxing career.
