  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 05 November 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15218

That the Parliament congratulates Hamish Steven, a Wick Royal National Lifeboat Institution volunteer, who has been rewarded with a long service medal for over 20 years of fundraising efforts for the organisation; understands that Hamish has contributed in a substantial number of fundraising events in addition to travelling across Scotland to collect and swap out the organisation's collection boxes for the Wick fundraising branch; notes that the Royal National Lifeboat Institution was established in 1848 and is a charity dedicated to saving lives at sea, with a 24-hour search and rescue service, funded mostly through generous donations; congratulates Hamish on his remarkable achievement, and wishes the Lifeboat Institution continued support for the future.
