Whyte and Mackay Celebrates Two Wins at Prosper Highlands and Islands Business Excellence Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Whyte and Mackay Ltd on winning both the BlueFloat Energy/Nadara Award for Excellence in Natural Capital, Climate Change and Sustainable Communities, and the Highlands and Islands Enterprise Award for Excellence in Local Supply Chain award at the Prosper Highlands and Islands Business Excellence Awards 2024; understands that the awards recognised the approach of Whyte and Mackay in delivering positive sustainability initiatives that protect Scotland’s natural capital and its significant efforts in developing and supporting local supply chains going above and beyond standard practices; further understands that Whyte and Mackay Ltd has been producing award-winning Scotch Whisky for over 175 years and that its Green Print is guiding action on targets across energy, water, agriculture and biodiversity, packaging and waste and have an aim to be Net Zero by 2040; recognises the commitment of Prosper to supporting business and prosperity in the Highlands and Islands region, and celebrates all the finalists and local businesses for what it sees as their positive impact and contribution to local communities and the local economy of the Highlands and Islands.
