East Grampian Coastal Partnership

  • Submitted by: Kevin Stewart, Aberdeen Central, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 31 October 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15135

That the Parliament congratulates East Grampian Coastal Partnership (EGCP) on receiving a grant of £12,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that EGCP, which is based in Woodhill House in Aberdeen, is a not-for-profit limited company that was established in 2005 and represents individuals and organisations who have an interest in the wellbeing of the coast between Kinnaird Head in Fraserburgh and the mouth of the River North Esk by St Cyrus; understands that this grant will help deliver a one-year project that is aimed at raising awareness of the environmental harm caused by marine plastics and coordinates community beach litter clean-ups along the Aberdeenshire and North Angus coastlines; hopes that this project is a success in informing the public and helping keep the beaches clean, and wishes EGCP all the best in its endeavours.
