Visit West End Named Scotland Loves Local High Street Hero for Glasgow

That the Parliament congratulates the Visit West End business improvement district on being named Scotland Loves Local High Street Hero for Glasgow; notes that the Scotland Loves Local Awards, which are organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership, acknowledges those who work to boost their economy and make their community stronger and more sustainable; understands that Visit West End, which was formed in 2015, has been recognised for the team’s relentless drive to boost business and make the area more attractive; further understands that ,as well as championing and supporting businesses, Visit West End has organised a variety of events, activities and initiatives, including the popular Byres Road Book Festival, Christmas lights display and its expanding promotion of business on social media; commends all of the Visit West End team for this well-deserved accolade, and wishes them all the best for the future as they continue to promote, enhance and improve the area in the west end of Glasgow.
