That the Parliament congratulates UEFA on issuing fines for the use of pyrotechnics by both Rangers and Celtic fans in recent games against Borussia Dortmund, Malmo and Lyon; agrees with the statement of the Rangers interim chairman, John Gilligan, that “the use of pyrotechnics must stop and stop now”; further agrees with his point that "many supporters have difficulty coping with the effects of pyrotechnics"; believes that football fans cannot consider themselves to be a kind of elite who are above the law, and calls on the Scottish football authorities to clamp down more heavily on pyrotechnics and other antisocial behaviour around football matches.
