  • Submitted by: Pam Gosal, West Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 22 October 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-14975

That the Parliament congratulates the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat charity on gaining approval for a new facility at the southern end of Loch Lomond near Balloch pier; understands that it previously took crew members based in the Vale of Leven area too long to get to their base in Luss during emergencies; further understands that there were no objections to the new proposed base when it was in front of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority; recognises that both the Loch Lomond Angling Improvement Association and the Loch Lomond Association submitted comments of support for the new facility; understands that measures are being taken by the charity to protect the surrounding wildlife and nature, thanks the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat charity for all its vital life-saving work, and wishes all its crew members well.
