That the Parliament applauds the Cycling Facilities Fund (CFF) award of £224,022 from sportscotland to West Dunbartonshire Council, towards the creation of a 1 km blue grade cycle trail; notes that the investment will support a trail at Balloch Country Park and will become a base for a new community cycling club; acknowledges that the facility will be open to all and will encourage families and experienced riders to use the trail; understands that the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships created a renewed interest in cycling throughout Scotland; considers that the £8 million CFF fund will support a lasting legacy of the championships, with its various community-based projects, and looks forward to the completion of the project in the near future.
