The National Robotarium Second Anniversary

That the Parliament congratulates the National Robotarium on its second anniversary; considers that it is a world-leading centre for robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is funded by the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal; believes that its work positions Scotland at the forefront of robotics innovation globally; welcomes what it sees as its achievements, including launching a manifesto on the future of UK robotics at the UK Parliament, setting out a plan to make the UK a key player in the global robotics economy, working with industry across Scotland and internationally to adopt and gain the advantages of robotics, advancing healthcare through projects like Vitalise, potentially supporting 1.3 million UK stroke patients, driving robotic capabilities in the construction, offshore energy and agritech sectors, hosting over 20,000 school-aged children, encouraging careers in robotics, data analytics, and AI, and showcasing Ameca, an advanced humanoid robot, incubating 12 start-up robotics companies and supporting the Scottish Government's growth initiatives; thanks those who made the National Robotarium possible, and looks forward to its continued success as a centre of excellence for responsible, human-centric emerging technologies.
