That the Parliament congratulates NHS Grampian assistant domestic services manager and Green Star Award recipient, Aaron Sutcliffe, as he makes a positive impact on the organisation’s sustainability goals; understands that Aaron started the campaign to reduce the number of smaller waste bins in favour of recycling stations and transformed the way waste is handled in the warehouse at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, as well as on two floors of offices in the hospital’s Yellow Zone and at Foresterhill Health Centre; further understands that he has helped colleagues get rid of nearly 450 general waste bins, which equates to more than 1,300 black bags of waste every week; recognises that Aaron received a Green Star Award for his efforts to reduce the health board’s impact on the environment; notes that NHS Grampian’s Green Star Awards were introduced to recognise the fantastic work that colleagues are doing to support the NHS Grampian Climate Emergency and Sustainability Strategy, and wishes Aaron and his team well in their efforts to reduce the health board’s impact on the environment.
