That the Parliament congratulates The Black Door Shop on winning the Digital Innovator category at the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) Self Management Awards 2024; understands that The Black Door Shop is a local charity that collects donations, including computers, books, toys and household items, in support of asylum seekers and refugees; considers that, by refurbishing devices and offering IT support and training, the shop helps to reduce digital exclusion and improve educational, professional and personal development, and celebrates the positive impact that it believes the shop has had in supporting a community that often faces structural barriers.
