That the Parliament congratulates all involved with Sportschallenge, which it understands is the north east’s premier sports-themed fundraising dinner, on raising more than £125,000 at its recent event, which was held at P&J Live in Aberdeen to mark its 10th anniversary; understands that 76 teams of 10 players competed in a Question of Sport-style quiz to raise money for its long-term beneficiaries, Maggie’s Aberdeen and Children’s Aid (Scotland), and four additional charities, Archway, Friends of the Neuro Ward, Aberdeen Lads Club and Archie’s Child Bereavement Service; believes that, across the last decade, Sportschallenge has brought Aberdeen’s businesses together under a common goal, to create real, lasting change for the people of the north east, raising more than £800,000 for charities in the area; commends the efforts of all involved in organising the event, and wishes them the best of luck for next year’s event.
