World Alzheimer’s Day

That the Parliament notes that World Alzheimer’s Day takes place on 21 September 2024; understands that World Alzheimer’s Day brings global attention to Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, and is dedicated to raising awareness, challenging stigma and highlighting the ongoing need for research and support for people living with dementia, as well as their families and carers; commends the work of Alzheimer Scotland to support those affected by dementia and to promote brain health across the country, and encourages people across Scotland to engage in events being held in their communities to mark World Alzheimer’s Day as part of a collective effort to raise awareness and highlight the valuable contribution of people with dementia across society.
