Clydebank and Milngavie Constituency Groups Awarded Over £200,000 in National Lottery Community Funding

That the Parliament recognises and congratulates eight organisations from across the Clydebank and Milngavie constituency on being awarded a total of £216,143 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the Bearsden & Milngavie Highland Games Association received a £5,000 grant, which will help it in continuing its work; notes that Breastfeeding Support Scotland received £5,525 to provide face-to-face breastfeeding support groups in Glasgow, South Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire; recognises that Golden Friendships was awarded a £19,500 grant that will help provide people with a series of community meals, events and trips; understands that the Mini Messy Monsters playgroup was awarded £10,000 to purchase accessible/sensory toys and to hold parties for the children who attend it; notes that the Kilmardinny Community Garden Project received £10,000 to purchase equipment to support its volunteer-led community gardening sessions for various age groups; acknowledges that the Recycle Room received a £20,000 grant to continue its recycle service that provides goods to the community; understands ISARO Community Initiative received £66,118 to continue its multi-faceted project supporting ethnic minority communities in dealing with the cost of living crisis; acknowledges that Trauma Informed Parenting received a £80,000 grant that will be used to provide free workshops that aim to improve the lives of families with children who have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences or have additional needs, and congratulates all of the staff and volunteers associated with these groups for their work towards what it sees as these vital grants being awarded and for working tirelessly to make their community a better place.
