  • Motion reference: S6M-14455

That the Parliament congratulates Sophie Unwin and her pilot, Jenny Holl, who hails from Blair Drummond, on their outstanding achievements at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, where they medalled in all four of their events; acknowledges their remarkable performance in winning Gold medals in both the women's Class B 3,000m individual pursuit and the women's Class B road race, a silver medal in the road time trial Class B, and a bronze medal in the women's 1,000m time trial Class B; recognises that these achievements include Unwin's first-ever Paralympic Gold medals, and commends both athletes for, it considers, being an inspiration to athletes across Scotland and for their contribution to raising the profile of parasport.
