  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 10 September 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-14425

That the Parliament recognises World Patient Safety Day, which aims to raise awareness around patient safety and calls on a global response by all countries and international partners to help reduce patient harm; notes that it is observed annually on 17 September; acknowledges that the day brings together patients, families, caregivers, communities, health workers, policy leaders and other members of the community to strive for greater patient safety; applauds the efforts made by all so far, and considers that more needs to be done in order to build upon this good work.
