Glasgow International Festival

That the Parliament commends the return of the Glasgow International (GI) festival for what it sees as its outstanding contributions to contemporary art; understands that a total of 43 projects were showcased, spanning various media and areas within the city; recognises the festival’s role as a globally renowned platform for local and international artists, creatives and arts organisers; celebrates what it considers to be Glasgow’s rich artistic heritage and its commitment to nurturing creative spaces, and applauds GI’s approach to experimental and grassroots initiatives, including its collective effort to activate the city through community engagement.
