Rowan Glen Secures Top Award

That the Parliament congratulates Rowan Glen Ltd, one of the longest-established yogurt manufacturing sites in Scotland, based in Palnure, Dumfries and Galloway, on winning awards for its Greek Style Natural Yogurt and Raspberry and Blackberry Yogurt in the Best Cultured Dairy Product category at the 2024 Royal Highland Show; further congratulates Alan Baxter, Rowan Glen’s managing director, for taking the bold step of leading an employee buyout of the business with the support of South of Scotland Enterprise, securing the rescue of an important local employer; congratulates Richard Allison for joining the company as sales and marketing director, as the company “crafts a journey towards a sustainable future that spans generations”, and helping to lead Rowan Glen Ltd to a regular ranking within the top 50 Scottish food brands, and wishes everyone at Rowan Glen Ltd every good wish for a long, stable future of continuing business success.
