Llara Plaza, University of the Highlands and Islands Student, Wins Logo Contest

  • Submitted by: Emma Roddick, Highlands and Islands, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 25 June 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13777

That the Parliament congratulates visual communications student Llara Plaza, who is a student at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) in Inverness, on having her logo selected in a contest by Highland Advanced Motoring Group (HiAM); understands that the logo is to be used as part of its rebranding to encourage more young Highland drivers to be road smart; notes that the design project brief was to produce a new logo for HiAM to reflect the Highlands and to relate to younger drivers and riders, who can often be most at risk due to inexperience; recognises what it sees as the benefit for UHI Inverness students working with real clients and adding value, and wishes Llara well for her future in her chosen field.
