Congratulating Senior Charge Nurse Morven Cowie on Winning an NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Excellence Award 2024

That the Parliament congratulates Morven Cowie on her fantastic achievement in being named as the overall winner of the West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership category at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Excellence Awards 2024; understands that earlier in 2024 Morven won Leader of the Year in the local West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership awards for her work in wards 14 and 15 at the Vale of Leven hospital; understands that she has worked at the hospital for the last 28 years and is extremely popular with her colleagues who describe her as an exceptional and outstanding leader; recognises that the stability that her leadership gives to her team has been highlighted as a real strength by the Care Inspectorate; understands that her kind and positive approach has been commented on by patients and their relatives, particularly recognising the positive role model that she provides to the rest of the team, and further understands that this award is in recognition of the fact that she makes a positive difference to some of the most vulnerable patients in the hospital and for the inspiration that she gives to her team and the staff in the hospital as a whole.
