Congratulations to Trena Clunes and Anne Milne

That the Parliament congratulates Trena Clunes and Anne Milne on being awarded British Empire Medals (BEMs) for services to the community in Aberdeen in the The King’s Birthday Honours List 2024; understands that both Anne and Trena have volunteered at Catherine Street Community Centre since its opening, with Trena now chairwoman and Anne secretary and treasurer; recognises that the community centre recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, and that it has helped to support people across the local community and across Aberdeen throughout that time; acknowledges the esteem in which Anne and Trena are held by the local community; thanks both women for the voluntary work that they have undertaken over the last four decades; believes that these awards are thoroughly deserved, and commends them for all of their efforts.
