Laura Kiltie Named National Youth Worker of the Year

That the Parliament congratulates Laura Kiltie, a youth development worker in Wigtownshire, on winning the prestigious National Youth Worker of the Year Award at an awards ceremony held on 12 June 2024; considers that Laura is one of the most inspirational and committed youth workers in the region, evidenced every day by her dedication to the young people in the area as well as schools and associated partners; recognises that she has also led the development of a number of regional projects, including the Young Women’s Network, volunteer programmes and the Year of Young People scheme; believes that her recognition is testament to the wider work being carried out by the Youth Work Team in Wigtownshire, and wishes Laura continued success in her starring role and developing year.
