That the Parliament congratulates the Open University (OU) in Scotland on bringing the European Lunar Symposium to Dumfries and Galloway from 16 to 21 June 2024; notes that over 150 members of the international lunar science and exploration community will participate in the symposium to exchange ideas and discuss the latest findings from their research; understands that, in addition to the scientific plenary sessions, there is also a schools’ events programme, including OU academic and NASA representative-run workshops, as well as public talks aimed at inspiring the people of Dumfries and Galloway and leaving behind a new lunar legacy for the region, and wishes all the attendees and partners every success for the symposium.
