That the Parliament congratulates Glenboig Development Trust on being awarded a grant of almost £26,000, as part of grants awarded by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport through its regional strategy; understands that the grant will be used to provide transport services to a wide variety of groups, such as nurseries, social work, children and youth groups, older people and disabled people; notes that the Trust operates shopping trips from villages in the Glenboig area of North Lanarkshire for local residents who have limited access to public transport; commends Glenboig Development Trust for what it sees as its importance in the Glenboig and Townhead areas; believes that organisations such as the Glenboig Development Trust reduce social isolation through such initiatives, and wishes Glenboig Development Trust and the community of Glenboig all the very best for the future.
