That the Parliament welcomes the official opening of Dementia Friendly Tranent’s Garden of Reflection, which is located in the town’s Polson Park; notes that the garden space, which was first conceived in 2016, with construction work starting in 2020 before being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, was opened by East Lothian Lord Lieutenant Roderick Urquhart following the completion of all works; further notes that the garden includes a variety of bushes and plants, the installation of benches and flowerbeds, and a tree design, named the Tree of Life, and commends Dementia Friendly Tranent and everyone else involved in the development of the Garden of Reflection for creating this important community space.
