Paying Tribute to Eddie Tobin

That the Parliament notes the sad passing of Eddie Tobin; recognises the long and illustrious career Mr Tobin had in the entertainment industry, managing famous acts like Midge Ure, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Nazareth and Billy Connolly; further recognises what it sees as Mr Tobin’s significant role in modernising and promoting Glasgow’s night time economy, improving standards, enhancing duty of care and being instrumental in creating the Glasgow Licensing Forum, bringing together stakeholders in Glasgow’s night time economy such as operators, the police, councillors and health and safety officers to enhance the sector, and believes that Mr Tobin was a much loved and respected figure in the industries he contributed so much to and is survived by his wife, Elspeth, son, Chris, and daughter, Claire.
