That that Parliament commends the exceptional generosity of Nicolle Aitken and Steven Bilton, from Blantyre, who donated a cold cot, £250, and three bags of baby clothes to the perinatal service at University Hospital Wishaw; understands that this donation acknowledged the compassionate care delivered by staff when the couple tragically lost their stillborn baby son, Luke; considers the donation of the cold cot to be a truly significant contribution to University Hospital Wishaw’s bereavement services, as more families in the future will have the invaluable opportunity to spend precious moments with their baby, offering solace and support during such a difficult time; commends Nicolle and Steven’s outstanding fundraising efforts, raising £5,000 through a dedicated GoFundMe page and charity night, which was held at Tannochside Miners Welfare Club on 18 November 2023; believes that their kind-hearted donation will make an important difference to families facing the loss of their baby, and applauds the exceptional dedication of the staff within the perinatal service at University Hospital Wishaw for their unwavering care and support.
