That the Parliament congratulates DD8 Music on staging Bonfest 2024 in Kirriemuir; understands that the annual three-day festival honours the life and memory of Angus-born former AC/DC frontman, Bon Scott, who spent his early years in Kirriemuir; believes that music has a powerful ability to bring people together, and recognises what it sees as the significant cultural and economic benefit to the town brought by the thousands of AC/DC fans who travelled from around the world to attend the 2024 event; commends the wider work of local charity, DD8 Music, to provide young people and adults in Angus with opportunities to take part in music, and wishes it every success as it now looks to Bonfest 2025.
