That the Parliament applauds the commendable efforts of volunteers based in Portsoy for their ambitious plans to restore the Portsoy Outdoor Pool and establish Scotland's first fully accessible tidal outdoor swimming facility; notes the historical significance of the outdoor pool to the west of Portsoy, which initially opened in 1936 and ceased operations in 2001; commends the remarkable fundraising activities that have taken place and are planned, with special recognition for Portsoy resident, Jodie Smith, who is undertaking a 500 km cycling journey from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Portsoy, to be timed between sunrise and sunset on the summer solstice in 2024, to raise funds aimed at making the aspiration of reopening the outdoor pool a reality, and wishes Jodie and the dedicated Portsoy Outdoor Pool volunteers every success in their laudable endeavours.
