That the Parliament congratulates photographer, Campbell Ramage, whose photographic works were recently displayed in Maryhill Burgh Halls; notes that Maryhill Is Wonderful: A Photographic Exhibition Of The People Of Maryhill formally closed with a reception at Maryhill Burgh Halls on 14 April 2023; pays tribute to Campbell Ramage and the many local residents who participated in the project, which created a stunning black and white photographic journey through the heart of Maryhill, celebrating its people's beauty, character and strength; understands that much of the inspiration for the photographic collection came from the local walks Campbell Ramage took during the COVID-19 restrictions, when, unable to venture far from home, he found himself taking more and more photographs of the city around him and falling back in love with photography; notes that the exhibition began in early 2022, with the aim of highlighting the beauty of the area and the people who live and work in Maryhill; commends Campbell Ramage for what it sees as the significant contribution he has made in capturing the rich social and cultural history of the people of Maryhill, through the Maryhill Is Wonderful photo exhibition; wishes him every success in any future projects, and looks forward to enjoying whatever photographic works Campbell Ramage may create in the years ahead.
