Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S5W-18808 by Paul Wheelhouse on 25 September 2018, what its position is on the value of the Decommissioning Challenge Fund to companies located in and around the Dundee area compared with the value of a new ultra-deep water port in the city, and what reassurances it can provide to companies that have or are planning to invest in the decommissioning sector in the city that there will be a level playing field, in light of reports that some are considering pulling out.

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of its spokesperson’s comment that the decision to designate Dales Voe as an ultra-deep water port for decommissioning “may even benefit Dundee if the Scottish market works collaboratively”, what its position is on the private sector complying with its wishes.
