Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the comment in its paper, Developing the Young Workforce, that "in year four [2017-18], colleges, secondary schools and local authorities will be working more effectively in partnership…with all colleges offering vocational options to the majority of secondary schools in their region", whether it will confirm what proportion of (a) colleges offer and (b) schools are in receipt of these options, broken down by local authority.
