Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government how much Barnett consequential funding it expects to receive as a result of the announcement by the UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport to expand Arts Council England’s Supporting Grassroots Music Fund by £5 million over the next two years, and what its response is to calls to similarly ring-fence any such funding for grassroots music venues in Scotland.
