To ask the Scottish Government what support it gives to Fife Council and other local authorities to help develop vibrant and sustainable local economies.
Answer
The Scottish Government's continued investment in infrastructure, regeneration and business support helps support vibrant and sustainable economies across Scotland. We work closely with our partners in local authorities to help deliver Scotland's economic strategy with its focus on increasing competiveness and tackling inequality.
Together with Fife Council, we established the Fife Task Force to respond to the impact of the closure of Tullis Russell. We made available £6 million in additional funding for the work of the task force, in supporting those who had lost their jobs, as well as for local communities, business support and economic growth.

To ask the Scottish Government what action it is taking to ease the transition of severely disabled patients from the juvenile to the adult care system.
Answer
The Scottish Government is committed to supporting children and young people through transition periods to make sure that everyone can reach their potential. Under the Getting It Right for Every Child approach, statutory providers are expected to ensure that transition planning for children with severe disabilities starts as early as possible through a multi-agency team which places the child at the centre. Additionally, under the self-directed support programme we are investing over £500,000 on projects aimed at improving transitions for young people in receipt of social care and support.
