To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to the view expressed by the Chief Executive of Scottish Care during the BBC programme, Disclosure: The Care Home Scandal, that the initial Scottish Government advice to care homes that residents who were showing symptoms of COVID-19 should not normally be admitted to hospital was "unacceptable, inhumane and a derogation of the duty to protect life".

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of its announcement on 17 July 2020 regarding a Complex Mesh Removal Surgical Service, which surgeons are on the new multi-disciplinary team; where they were trained in “total or full” mesh removal; who trained them in “total or full” mesh removal; whether they have been trained in groin incision “total or full” mesh removal; how many “total or full” mesh removal surgeries each surgeon has performed, broken down by (a) the type of mesh removed in the surgeries and (b) how of the operations were (i) successful and (ii) not successful and resulted in post-operative complications; what information it has on whether any of the surgeons may have a conflict of interest due to having received research funding, training, sponsorship, pay or any other incentives from mesh manufacturers or pharmaceutical companies, and whether the service will have a translabial ultrasound scanner to identify mesh in the body.
