Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government what assessment it has made of the potential impact on remote and rural communities of the transfer of delivery of national training programmes from Highlands and Islands Enterprise to Skills Development Scotland.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it is aware of concerns regarding a review by Skills Development Scotland that could result in a further reduction of the contribution rate for modern apprenticeships in the hospitality sector and the impact that this could have on recruitment and retention in remote and rural communities.
