To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has investigated the possibility of amending the Scotland Rural Development Programme to provide incentives for food producers who produce local food and use native breeds and integrated farming systems.
Answer
Support measures for activities that may assist food producers who produce food for the local market, use native breeds or use integrated farming systems already exist within the current Scotland Rural Development Programme through a combination of support that is available through Rural Priorities and the Food Processing, Marketing and Co-operation grant scheme.

To ask the Scottish Executive what its assessment is of the potential impact of the 2010-11 Scotland’s Winter Festivals programme.
Answer
The Scottish Executive has transferred operational responsibility for the delivery of St Andrew''s Day and Winter Festivals commitments to EventScotland from 2010 onwards. The change of delivery model will bring about a sharper economic focus to Winter Festivals activity, and will ensure that these benefits are extended beyond central Scotland. EventScotland, as delivery agents, will put in place their own methods of evaluation, which includes:
Asking each funded event to submit a post-event outcome report.
Commissioning event audience research for St Andrew''s Day events.
Undertaking Media Evaluation.
Monitoring web traffic on the campaign websites.

To ask the Scottish Executive what is the quota for wind-powered generators, broken down by local authority area.
Answer
The Scottish Government''s target is for annual renewable electricity generation to be the equivalent of 80% of gross electricity consumption by 2020. The aim is for the target to be met by a wide range of renewable sources including onshore and offshore wind as well as hydro, wave, tidal and biomass combined heat and power. The target is not broken down by technology or local authority area.

To ask the Scottish Executive what its position is on the benefits of telecare services for remote and rural communities.
Answer
All 32 health and social care partnerships across Scotland have now received their 2010-11 Telecare Development Programme allocation of £4 million and all are pursuing and developing local Telecare services, many in remote and rural communities.
Significant impacts have been evidenced on supporting people effectively using Telecare at home as a very real alternative to hospital or care home admission.
We are asking local partnerships, within their plans for this year, to further mainstream telecare services and increase convergence with telehealth activity. The Scottish Government''s Joint Improvement Team is working closely in pursuit of this with local partnerships and the Scottish Centre for Telehealth (SCT).

To ask the Scottish Executive how many people have been screened in each year since the launch of the Cardiac Assessment in Young Athletes programme in 2008.
Answer
Since the Cardiac Assessment in Young Athletes (CAYA) programme became fully operational in 2009, 885 young people between 15 and 25 who are engaged in competitive sports have undergone the cardiovascular assessment offered by the programme.
