Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

To ask the Scottish Government what programmes relating to the link between alcohol and mental health it has implemented in response to findings in the report, Societal Cost of Alcohol Misuse in Scotland for 2007, that the cost of alcohol on psychiatric health services in the city of Edinburgh is nearly £4 million, and over £42 million in Scotland.
