Since the Energy Jobs Taskforce’s inception in January 2015, the group met on a monthly basis for the first six months; thereafter members agreed that it was appropriate to move to a quarterly meeting cycle. The Taskforce has met 14 times, with the next meeting scheduled to take place in Autumn.

To ask the Scottish Government what action it is taking to ensure that new housing developments do not have a negative impact on existing live music venues.
Answer
It is for local authorities, through their development plans, to direct the right development to the right place and support existing business sectors. Scottish Planning Policy provides a framework of guidance to support authorities, in terms of promoting a sustainable pattern of development and decision-making on individual planning applications.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S5W-09002 by Humza Yousaf on 10 May 2017 and the inaugural meeting of the Aberdeen to Central Belt Reference Group on 22 May 2017, whether it will now set out the options that the group is assessing and prioritising regarding the Usan Junction and South Esk viaduct.
Answer
We refer again to previous answers S5W-09002, S5W-09003 on 10 May 2017 and S5W-09207 on 24 May 2017 which state that all options will be considered. The inaugural meeting of the Reference Group which examined the work required to identify, assess and prioritise options is looking to develop an agreed programme of activity which once concluded will, in due course, result in the selection of a preferred option.
