To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the evidence given to the Public Petitions Committee on 10 February 2009 by the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, whether there are technical reasons for which the site of HMP Aberdeen can not be used for a new remand facility.

Since 1 September 2008 the Scottish Investment Fund, managed by Social Investment Scotland, has received 61 applications for funding from third sector organisations.
